I LOVE fall, especially October. It’s the time to watch the leaves turn, wear scarves and boots and eat anything and everything with pumpkin in it. Chris and I have definitely been getting out more since the weather has gotten a bit cooler and by cooler I mean not in the 90s but in the 80s lol. It’s been getting down to the 70s and even 60s on some days. That’s autumn in the South for ya.
I got married in June but would have definitely loved a fall wedding as well. Here are some fall wedding ideas I found around the interwebz.
Give your centerpiece a rustic look by wrapping a vase with bark and using rusty orange, yellow and red flowers with fall foliage.
It wouldn’t be Fall without some leaves. This is a really easy DIY escort card idea. Just gather some dried leaves from your background and write your guests names and table numbers on them.
Have your guests be greeted with mugs of hot apple cider at the beginning of the cocktail hour or even at the end of the night when the party is winding down.
Speaking of drinks, serve a fall-themed cocktail at your wedding like this Fig Old Fashioned.
5) Rustic Fall Wedding Bouquet
Give your bouquet a rustic look by adding feathers and using ginger and cream hues in your floral color palette. Wrap it up in a thick fabric like burlap or wool and add a vintage button.
Want a more modern look for your fall wedding? Put tall branches with yellow flowers in cylindrical glass vases for a dramatic centerpiece.
Have wedding pie instead of wedding cake! Display a selection of fall favorites like pumpkin pie, pecan pie and apple pie.
If you didn’t get to serve it at the wedding, send your guests home with these personalized hot apple cider favor bags with caramels.
I’d love to hear your fall wedding ideas. Please feel free to leave a comment!
